Yagi Construction Class

The following photos were from a “broomstick yagi” construction class. The class was held following our successful technician license class when members wanted to learn more about applying their new-found theory in the “real world.”

Broom stick yagis were constructed and tuned for the VHF band. Students were coached on the installation of connectors, assembling yagis and tuning them by adjusting element dimensions. A total of about half-a-dozen yagis were constructed and many are stil in use today.
