The VI Ham Radio club would like to encourage local Amateur Radio Operators who are interested in providing assistance after disasters to take the following Incident Command System (ICS) classes. Successful passing of these classes is a MUST for anyone who desires to work in the VITEMA EOC. It is essential that we understand the command, control & procedural environment in which we as volunteers will operate. Once passed you will receive a certificate of completion. To take theses classes you will first need to get a FEMA SID so that all of your credit is associated with your account. This is very easy to do.
The classes take about an hour each and can all be completed on-line. Exams are also on-line.
